A True Pioneer

Steve Safran is a digital media pioneer who helped found the nation’s first all video, local news site at NECN.com. He was on-air every morning for six years as the station’s “web reporter.” He has worked with Disney, Discovery, NPR, WBZ-TV and many other media companies. He helps launch new media startups. In addition, he has lectured and taught social media in Spain and Canada. Steve has appeared as a “digital media expert” on the BBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC and many radio stations.

Steve was the creator and executive producer of “Season Ticket.” a podcast done in collaboration with WBUR-FM and The Boston Globe, and is currently a TV producer for the Worcester Red Sox.
